Sympathy is about the ambivalent attitude towards nature. On one side the tree is limited in its freedom of movement by holding captive. The bleeding wound on the other side refers to the diagnosis from the human point of view. Any rescue mission we can come up with is just a salve on the wound, as is the chair catching the blood. At the end the best help we can offer "our" planet is for humanity not to survive...
