Statement
Harry Schumacher denounces the way people treat nature. We place ourself above, although we are part of it. We see nature as a laboratory which we can treat the way we want.
The complexity of social structures let people trust on their ratio rather than their feelings. A balance between the two is more desirable. The ratio feeds on restraints and increases the distance to nature. The installations I make are a consequence of how the human race sees nature. I create the works of art in a intuitive way by constantly being aware of the absurd human behaviour. Recognising becomes a second nature. An alternative world of metaphores is the result.
In the drawings the collection of instruments is expanded. With a selfmade technique the drawings are transfered to the felt.
