This work deals with the division of mankind and the rest of nature. People think they stand above nature, but eventually nature will overcome. From the point of view of "the other" a new insight of ones place could emerge. The work changes by the position of the beholder towards the trees. The birches stand closer and closer together and will appear to form a row of bars.
With the viewer close to the bars watching nature, nature seems to be caged. From the point of view of nature (telescope) the humans behind the bars seem to be physically confined. The ocular in the telescope is placed reversed, to emphasize the created distance and gives the telescope
